On 21 and 22 May 2017,\u00a0Vienna Economic Forum<\/strong>, together with\u00a0Serbian Association of Economists<\/strong>\u00a0and under the\u00a0Patronage of Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission<\/strong>, organized\u00a0Vienna Economic Talks – Belgrade Meeting 2017<\/strong>\u00a0in the\u00a0Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia<\/strong>. The event brought together high-level representatives and visionaries from the region’s economy, politics and diplomacy, from Europe and from other continents.<\/p>\n

On the evening of 21 May,\u00a0President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, Mr. Marko Cadez<\/strong>, welcomed the participants and speakers of\u00a0Vienna Economic Talks – Belgrade Meeting 2017<\/strong>. Following the opening speech of\u00a0Mr. Aleksandar Vlahovic, President of the Serbian Association of Economists<\/strong>,\u00a0Secretary General Amb. Dr. Elena Kirtcheva<\/strong>\u00a0solemnly presented\u00a0Mr. Marko Cadez<\/strong>\u00a0the\u00a0VEF Badge of Honor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The ensuing\u00a0first evening session<\/strong>, under the title\u00a0\u201cThe Responsibility to be Regionally Connected\u201d<\/em><\/strong>, was moderated\u00a0by Amb. Victor Jackovich<\/strong>, President of Jackovich International LLC (USA) and board member of Vienna Economic Forum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

Overall, these discussions lively noted and stressed critical issues that are unavoidable for the region in order to facilitate a significant and major boost to the further development of regional economic cooperation.<\/p>\n

The fact that\u00a0Vienna Economic Talks – Belgrade Meeting 2017<\/strong>\u00a0was organized under the\u00a0Patronage of Jean-Claude Junker, President of the European Commission<\/strong>, speaks for Serbia’s great role in the EU integration process and the economic cooperation of the whole region.
